Sporty paddling tour on the Tiroler Ache

The Tiroler Ache has its source at Pass Thurn and flows into Lake Chiemsee near Grabenstätt after a course of 85 kilometers. Sporty touring paddlers appreciate this river for its reliable water flow. You can still paddle here in midsummer and late summer, when other waters are no longer navigable. The jewel in the crown of a Tyrolean Ache trip is the famous Entenlochklamm gorge.

What should I bear in mind when paddling the Tiroler Ache tour?

Best time: June to October, observe current navigation rules, observe bank access bans, nature reserve, weirs, steps, baffles and rapids, white water up to WW II in places.
