Alz

The Alz is the only outflow of the Chiemsee and a right tributary of the Inn. On a large part of the route the mostly calm water meanders through a hilly moraine landscape. In the first half of the year, navigation is prohibited between Seebruck and Altenmarkt because of nesting birds in the extensive reed area. But in spring, when the water level is good, the Alz below the Altenmarkt waterfalls offers a varied trip to the mouth of the Inn. Only a few paddlers know this section.
