Regnitz

The 65 km long Regnitz originates in Fürth from the confluence of the Rednitz and Pegnitz rivers. During the Ice Age, the Regnitz flowed south to the Danube, today it drains to the Rhine via the Main. The tame waters flow past the university town of Erlangen, interrupted by a few weirs.
