Canoe tour, multi-day tour, water hike: Wiesent

The Wiesent is 78 kilometers long and flows into the Regnitz near Forchheim. Two Berliners, Ludwig Tieck and Heinrich Wackenroder, are said to have been the first tourists in 1793. They drew attention to Franconian Switzerland with their reports. Millions of people have since come to this region. For canoeists, the Wiesent is a place of pilgrimage. On nice weekends, the rush of paddlers almost exceeds the capacity of the small waterway. However, the concentration is absolutely clear: almost all other beautiful canoeing streams in Franconian Switzerland are closed for nature conservation reasons.

What should I bear in mind when paddling on the Wiesent tour?

The Wiesent is subject to strict regulations. Let's stick to the rules so that we can preserve this paradise for canoeing! ~ Many weirs ~ Observe travel times ~ Observe current navigation rules ~ Current information is also available from the traffic office.
