Nethe (Upper Weser Uplands)

From its source in Neuenheerse south of Bad Driburg, the Nethe flows through the district of Höxter from west to east and flows into the Weser from the left at Godelheim after around 50 km. The Nethe offers everything that makes a sporty little river: tight bends, the odd splashy gush and a brisk, sometimes almost rapid, current amidst lush green meadows and picturesque hills.

What should I bear in mind when paddling on the Nethe tour (Upper Weserbergland)?

A maximum of six boats, observe the ban on entering the banks, no paddling against the current, observe the water level, five weirs, some of which are navigable, fallen trees possible.
