Nethe (Upper Weserbergland)

From its origin in Neuenheerse south of Bad Driburg the Nethe flows through the district of Höxter from west to east and flows into the Weser from the left after about 50 km near Godelheim. The Nethe offers everything that makes a sporty small river: Narrow curves, the one or other splashy gush and a brisk, sometimes almost rapid, current in the midst of lush green meadows and picturesque hills.

What should be considered when paddling on the Nethe tour (Upper Weserbergland)?

A maximum of six boats, no trespassing on the banks, no driving against the current, observe the water level, five weirs, some of which are navigable, fallen trees are possible.

With the app canua you are well informed and prepared for the water and for paddling in North Rhine-Westphalia.
