Paddle tour, round trip, day trip: Ketzin clay engraving landscape

Clay deposits were discovered in Ketzin in the middle of the 19th century and 14 brickworks and 13 clay quarries were built here in the following years. They supplied building materials for urban development in Berlin. After 1945, rubble from Berlin was disposed of in some of the clay pits; others filled with water and can now be explored by canoe. The tour leads from Katzin to Marquardt and in an arc back to Ketzin. A detour to Werder is possible about halfway along the route.
