Paddle tour Lower Oder Valley

The Lower Oder Valley National Park is one of the youngest national parks in Germany. The national park areas are the habitat of numerous - and very rare - animal and plant species, many of which need the regular flooding of the polder areas to survive. While you have to be lucky to spot a black stork, the sight of white-tailed eagles soaring high in the sky is commonplace. The rare corncrake breeds twice in many years and beavers have already reached their maximum population in the national park. The canoe tour runs outside the polder area on the Hohensaaten-Friedrichstal waterway. The polder areas themselves may only be navigated as part of a guided tour.
