Around Kirchmöser

Round trip by canoe: Around Kirchmöser

Until the beginning of the First World War, Möser, as it was then known, was a small farming and fishing village near Brandenburg. The Royal Prussian Gunpowder Factory was built in Möser to meet the enormous increase in demand for gunpowder. And to create space for the 4,000 workers and their families, hundreds of apartments were built. Möser was given a new railroad station and with it a new name. There was already a Möser railroad station near Magdeburg. The tour is quite long at over 30 km. However, it can easily be divided and paddled over a weekend. The description contains suggestions. A small note: The cover picture shows the return trip from Wusterwitz to Kirchmöser Dorf, a distance of approx. 19 km. The outward journey is shorter and uses, for example, a narrow passage in the reed belt to Plauer See.
