The Oder flows through a largely unchanging, some might even say monotonous, landscape. Rarely does a town appear on the banks, a church tower on the horizon or a small village on a ridge. Striking trees, isolated hills or a small alluvial forest break up the flat river landscape. At weekends, anglers can be found here and there on both banks. But it is precisely this unchanging nature that has its effect. Your thoughts involuntarily wander into the distance, and before you know it, you've paddled ten or more kilometers. The most comfortable way to paddle on the Oder is in a canoe. However, parts of the route can also be done on a SUP. The route described leads from Ratzdorf to Mescherin.
